An example schedule for one restaurant
Imagine a restaurant with a screen at the entrance and another above the counter. These times illustrate a planning approach; the actual schedule should reflect the opening hours and offer of the venue.
- 07:00–11:00: breakfast and hot drinks, with clearly displayed names and prices.
- 11:00–16:00: the lunch menu and available meal combinations.
- 16:00 until closing: evening offers and current guest notices.
The entrance and counter serve different purposes
At the entrance, guests need to understand the current offer quickly. Highlight a few key points and leave enough space for text to be readable at a distance. A more detailed menu is useful at the counter, where guests make a specific choice.
Check content on the screen from the position where guests will view it. A long sentence that looks fine on a computer can be unreadable from the ordering queue. Give each item one main message and avoid too many small details.
One campaign, different offers by location
Across multiple venues, the visual style can remain consistent while offers and times vary. A business district location may emphasise lunch, while another promotes its evening menu. VisioCast supports grouping screens by location and scheduling content for selected screens or groups.
Before publishing, check the location name, prices, validity period and intended screens. For more detailed network planning, see the guide to managing screens across multiple locations.
Agree who keeps the offer up to date
Decide who prepares content, who confirms the offer is accurate and who handles changes during the day. The kitchen or sales team needs a clear way to report a sold-out item, changed price or revised time. The person managing the screens can then make the appropriate update from the central panel.
Start with one day of offers, the number of locations and a list of existing screens. A VisioCast demonstration can explore scheduling, content editing and equipment requirements for your venue. This gives the discussion a practical example your team already knows.
